Hello LinPRinPers, welcome back again. I’m a Nigerian American Lifestyle blogger/vlogger who loves living a peaceful life and I love talking about situations we might find ourselves in that need peaceful endings. In todays blog, I’m covering how we can mindfully gain control over our emotions over our physical look by what we wear and how we can feel fierce and stay in control in a world of full of distractions. The FSHN section of my channel focuses on the fashion aspect of living a peaceful life. As we all know, what we wear says a lot about how we’re feeling on the inside.

What I’d like to do with this part of my channel is to show you guys the journey women go through with their weight and fashion styles. I’ve always wanted to change my closet and I figured I could let you guys in on a little bit about this part of my life. This episode is to encourage ourselves as women as always during these times of uncertainty, fear, and anxiety. I’ve been refraining from adding my voice to these videos nowadays because of the kids, they’re home and are always chatting but you’ll hear from me very soon.

Contentment and satisfaction go hand in hand when you want to live a peaceful life. Peaceful living can be broad and in the physical aspect, how we look at ourselves can impact how others see us as well. In the video above, it was important to see a confident woman in myself, regardless of how much I weigh and who I see in the mirror. In a society that rewards extra skinny women, it can get very disturbing how us women engage in self destructive behaviors trying to get back to that shape that the society “approves” of. I would look skinny and anorexic if I had to go back to that weight I was before I started having kids.

I look at young women today who are banking on their physical looks right now on social media platforms, the rude awakening coming later on can drive someone into depression and other unhealthy habits. It is very important that us women celebrate ourselves every step of the way. I am basically embracing myself wholeheartedly into the woman I have become in the video above that I hope you will watch and learn something from it. As a follower of Christ, it was also very important for me to remind myself of the reasons why I do what I do.

Here are some Bible verses to chew on while you get right with yourself, physically. that translates to your spiritual mind and vice versa.

Psalm 16:8 – I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

As I put this video together, I wasn’t confident, I was shy, I was scared even about how others would see me, oh she’s “phat”, or why’s she walking like that but then I was like whatever, I will still post it. We need to encourage ourselves and make confident women the new normal. I searched the youtube free music list and this jazzy tunes just put it all together. It inspired me, it lifted up my spirits and I hope it does that to yours as well.

MOSW ::Mom Overcomes Spill Wars::

This is not an AD, This is not sponsored. As a mom of 4, I’m always looking for ways to live a peaceful life. My kids all went through a phase of spilling the contents of cups especially during meal times and I would get so frustrated. thank God for sippy cups and especially insulated ones with rubbers on top, oh Heaven, no more catastrophic, avalanche spillages, especially with my last born, oi, he more. just goes on a spilling spree, you turn your back one sec, splash, well, no more.

At the time I was making this video, what was on my mind? What exactly was I thinking. Having and catering to 4 kids under 6yrs old was already a stretch, I honestly didn’t know it would be like this. As a thirty something yr old young woman, full time working mother and full time mom, I was already over it. I had bit more than I could chew. I admit it, the only solution was to try my best in making sure they were all healthy, fed and groomed and educated. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, I love my babies, all their personalities, however, sometimes I just wished I had more hands or not get tired but I’m only human, my husband and I decided we wouldn’t hired a nanny or take them to baby sitters because of the abuse we’ve heard of many times in the news. this was a challenging decision to make because, it was expensive anyway, with twins being our first kids, we weren’t ready to shell put money for day care centers or nannies who our children wouldn’t be the first on their minds all the time like their parents.

SO anyway back to today’s topic, spills. Making breakfast, lunch and dinner was enough stress already talk less of making it twice when one kid spills his or her tea, so I went on an amazon search for cups that would save my tables, my rugs my kitchens, and my dining table from all these spillages. Did I win? I think so. In the video is the latest food spiller, my last born, in his early year. I was so over the trauma, so these cups came in handy so my actor son had to test it out by Tommee Tippee. The cups are good for toddlers, school-age children, they are easy to use, they come with a cover to prevent germs. Do check them out if you’re a mom or dad or if you take care of kids, these cups make a great gift during the holidays, my kids love them so far, we take them everywhere now. The baby also has a smaller cup that I purchased later, with sippy cup handles.

CCFK ::CHORE CHART FOR KIDS::

It’s the  SOFT or the School of Fraternal Twins section of my channel and in this section where I usually talk about issues relating to my kids, how I cope with 4 of them, parenting them, growing with them, learning from them, and sometimes I talk about what they eat, what they wear, their routines and their relationships with each other and much more, under the umbrella of Living a peaceful life.

With kids, it’s important to sort of make everything look like fun, like they have a choice in the type of activity they want to do, especially with chores because thinking about it, who wants to do chores, but how about, who wants to play spin the wheel with kids where the options are chores/activity around the house. So for this episode, I decided to try it out, usually, I’ll just be screaming for the kids to pack up their toys or we’ll compete about it or we just leave everything lying around after I’ve given up or I’ll pack up the toys myself and dump them in the garbage. So let’s try this activity out, I call it, the chore chart. Kids think this life is all about fun, if you have the time, try to make it fun for them, especially during this quarantine times, this might be all the fun they’re getting for the day. Another thing is if you want a peaceful life, you need to make a life that is peaceful for your children or they’ll grow up to hate you or despise you or even hate life. Trust me, I can’t wait for schools to open back up with extracurricular activities because they need another place to use all the energy they have that’s been pent up for so long.

Gather your supplies – tape, scissors, recycled bottle caps, ruler, marker plastic folder,

Measure out how many chores you need, for this video we have 5 and Even out the spaces

Mark out the middle, and label the sides, To do and Done

Cut out the folder where you want the chore to slide

Label the bottle covers

Attach tape to the inside of the cover

Prepare the frame and place the folder in.

Place the folder backing to prevent slippage

Place the frame backing and display for the kids

When a chore is completed, the child will slide the bottle cover to the done section.

In the nearest future, i will be upgrading this design of course and making it much better.

WEIGHT LOSS UPDATE

So I decided I was going to be honest with myself about my weight loss trip, it needed to happen so that I can move on to my next phase of transformation and to you watching if you’re working on losing weight as well, you need to hear this through. So I woke up one day and decided enough was enough about procrastinating my weight loss trip. My baby is 1yr and almost one month old, and he’s transitioning full time to regular food. But the main question you’ll have to ask yourself before you start this trip is why are you doing this in the first place, who are you doing it for, you can watch the first or second video I did about my exercise trip. I have also read that a mental transformation needs to happen first before that can translate to the physical part.

I remember when I was extra extra small in size, And I compared that to when I saw pictures of myself after I had the twins, I honestly thought I looked hungry back then and I liked myself being fleshy a bit. Will I be losing that much weight now? most definitely not. My midsection is my most problematic area and that usually is the problem for a lot of women of childbearing age. So, how’s my trip going so far? So like I said, I’d be honest with myself and to you guys, I’ve been a bit avoiding this trip for a long time because of my baby who just turned one yr old last month. I’ve now decided to get myself motivated for this trip, that was when covid really hit but then I decided I’ll do home exercises. I researched on the type of exercises I’ll be doing because you want to put together exercises you can and will do and here it is for me.

My other problem is with consistency, my consistency game is non-existent, so how can I work on that? have a plan and do one thing at a time and reward accomplishments in a healthy manner. With my kids this might be very challenging but I’m ready to walk the walk because I’m done with talking the talk. On my nights off, I planned to exercise by walking the bridge close to my house, that usually takes about an hour to and fro. I also started drinking apple cider vinegar and lemon juice cocktail to help boost my metabolism further, this is how I mix my stuff. I also made sure I wasn’t out of vegetables including fruits.

2 slices of bread a day, portioned rice, honey substituted for sugar

More fish, more chicken, more spinach, more carrots

Tea every morning and night with honey

Apple cider vinegar/lemons juice in the morning and at night

Fruit and yogurt for snacks

Yay!!!!
